Peter BanksPresident & CEO
Peter J. Banks, a member of AATB, has 30+ years of experience in the death care industry. Over the years, he’s developed expertise in a multitude of areas: finance, national sales, business development, startups, acquisitions, and divestitures. Most recently, he’s worked in a senior management role with a national company. Peter holds an MBA from Loyola University of Maryland. Peter is an avid fisherman, he enjoys the outdoors, loves to cook, and spending time with his family.
Cheryl GodboutChief Operating Officer
Cheryl Godbout is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Florida, North Carolina, and Idaho. She holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Palm Beach Atlantic University and has worked for major companies in the funeral industry for more than twenty-five years. She has held officer positions in numerous community organizations and has served on multiple boards through out her career. She is a graduate of three Chamber of Commerce Leadership programs and has been a Rotarian for nearly twenty years. Cheryl is married to her husband, Bruce and has two grown sons.
Amy HorvatitsDirector of Administration and Donor Services
Amy Horvatits has 20+ years of experience in sales, marketing, and account management through her work as an Account Executive at an HMO and as an Operations Manager at a financial services company. She has experience with high-growth startups and national companies. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and an Ed.M from the University of Buffalo. Amy is a wife and mom to two adult children. She enjoys spending time with her family and two black labs. She has a passion for fitness, loves to cook, and enjoys reading.
Paul R. Morris, M.D.Vice President, Medical and Scientific Affairs
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Paul R. Morris earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Pathology at Duke University Medical Center, and fellowship in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. Dr. Morris is board-certified in Pathology and Transfusion Medicine; and has 17 years of experience as a Medical Director of a national reference laboratory, regional blood center, and a university-based tissue bank. In addition, he has served as Medical Director in the in-vitro diagnostics industry supporting sales and marketing activities, regulatory affairs, and on-market and new product development. During his tenure in the tissue bank, he provided medical and technical oversight of the quality assurance and quality control programs, donor eligibility, donor and tissue recovery services, tissue processing, and distribution in accordance with AATB, GMP, GTP, CAP, and FDA requirements.
James McElroyLab Manager
James has been working in Anatomical Sciences and Education since 2000. He was Laboratory Manager in the Anatomy Department at the University of Massachusetts Medical School for 5 years prior to joining DePuy – Johnson & Johnson, one of the world’s largest medical device companies. At DePuy – Johnson & Johnson, James was instrumental in developing rules, regulations, and policies for allowing cadaveric tissue into the facility. James has also conducted training laboratory seminars all across the country. James owned and operated a mobile training laboratory for surgeons, one of only two mobile cadaver laboratories available in the country for over 7 years. His expertise in the workings of whole-body donation programs and the details of lab procedures is a clear asset to DonorCure.
Morgan WilliamsDonor Administrator
Morgan Williams has a B.S. in Finance from Florida Atlantic University. She comes with a strong Finance and Accounting background. Morgan is an Educator for DonorCure and handles Donor Administration. She enjoys Spearfishing in remote locations in Baja Mexico, making fresh sushi, and spending time with her family. Her best friend is a Golden Retriever named Riley, who also shares her love of the water.
Monica KaminskyAnatomy Lab Technician
Monica has over sixteen years of experience in the death care industry with a background in forensic pathology. She holds an A.S. in mortuary science from Miami Dade college and is currently working toward a second A.S. in forensic science. To further her knowledge, she is also in the midst of completing the certification process to become a fully licensed funeral director and embalmer. Outside of work, Monica enjoys working on her saltwater reef tank and swimming with her dog, Kaluha.
Morgan ThomsonAnatomy Lab Technician
Morgan Thomson graduated from Keiser University in 2015 with an A.S. in Health Information Management, with a focus on medical billing and coding. She is currently working towards her B.S. in Nursing. Morgan has experience in medical records, scheduling, and patient intake assessment from her work with several hospitals in the south Florida area. Morgan, along with her family, is an advocate for LifeAlliance and participates in their annual 5K to raise awareness for organ donation. Outside of DonorCure, Morgan enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and live music
Terry LakeDirector of Business Development
Terry is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 25 years of experience. Terry has a strong combination of management and business development experience. Terry’s passion for helping others has been the fundamental guiding principle throughout his entire career. As the first Director of Business Development with MedCure Terry learned from and collaborated with many of most respected professionals and organizations in the Whole Body Donation, Medical Device R & D, Surgical Training / Bioskils industries. He earned a bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Terry is a dedicated husband, proud father and grandfather who enjoys many professional sports and the scenic beauty that Colorado has to offer.
Gina BanksDonor Coordinator
Gina Banks graduated from Flagler College in 2018 with a double major in International Relations and Political Science. She minored in Spanish, part of which included a summer program in Spanish law and art history in Madrid. Outside of DonorCure, Gina can be found traveling, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her new baby boy. She also volunteers her time with a variety of causes, including the Ronald McDonald house, refugee housings, nursing homes, and animal shelters.

Peter is the director of marketing and webmaster of DonorCure. He holds a bachelors degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University.
